MaineStats maintains a growing database built from trusted public sources — official Maine state agencies and U.S. federal data. If you need a chart, brief, report, dashboard, or source monitor built from that data, we can help. When the data is already available, the work can move quickly. When it isn’t, we’ll be upfront about what’s realistic.
What we do
Custom chart
A single publication-ready chart answering one Maine question, with the source note and clean exports (PNG / SVG / CSV).
Data brief
A focused 1–3 page brief: a handful of charts, the key numbers, plain-English takeaways, and a short methodology.
Custom report or dashboard
A deeper report or an interactive dashboard built on the normalized data, scoped to your specific question.
White-label data microsite
A branded data hub for your organization — your logo, your slice of Maine data, hosted and kept current by us.
Data monitoring
We watch the sources you care about and send a short update when the data actually changes.

Every chart on the public site is our own work — see unemployment, test scores, or MaineCare by county. Custom projects bring the same sourcing and rigor to your question.

On independence
MaineStats is an independent project. Custom work uses public data and the same care we bring to the public site. Paid work doesn’t change what appears on MaineStats, and we won’t shape a chart around a conclusion the data doesn’t support. If a question can’t be answered cleanly from the available sources, we’ll say so.
We’re happy to help organizations understand public data. We don’t sell favorable rankings, sponsored conclusions, or selective analysis designed to make the numbers say more than they do.
